It’s Finished!

Episode A of the new Sun Eaters Saga is complete. 59 pages finished, ready for their next iteration: to be printed in Screw Comics! 5. Without giving too much away here are some cool snips from the story.

Zunovu Prelude: Lutalica is a fantastical story that takes place in a domed floating city that hovers above the Earth chasing the Sun, so it never sees night. And it’s inhabitants are fed with solar energy and they don’t eat solid food. Walter Lutalica is a well-read, lonely glass changer with strange dreams, and when he meets a man from his dreams he gets wrapped up with an outlier “terrorist” group that believes a crazy conspiracy theory: that’s it’s unnatural to be living in that floating city and are determined to go down to the radiated Earth below. In the course of day, Walter’s life is flipped from ordinary to completely upside down after he saves a man’s life, and he’s forced to question all that he knows and what he’s been taught.

Lutalica is the first chapter of a meticulously crafted world, and I’m so glad it’s finally coming to fruition. It’s also the first story I’ve completed with my new streamlined process. From the start of penciling to this moment it’s taken about 13 months to complete. We’re talking the book is ready for print now. Not too shabby!
